InterContinental Tampa Names James Horsman as Managing Director

The InterContinental Tampa has named James Horsman as the new managing director of the 323-room hotel. In this post, Horsman oversees all aspects of the operations of the property, including rooms division, food and beverage and sales and marketing.
A 28-year hospitality industry veteran, Horsman most recently served as the managing director of the Stowe Mountain Lodge in Stowe, Vt.
At Stowe, he was charged with opening the $200 million resort and real estate development, coordinating and implementing all pre-opening marketing, sales and recruitment, and even the design elements of the hotel.
Prior to that, he was the general manager of the Nine Zero hotel in Boston where he was responsible for leading the team. Horsman also has extensive experience with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company where he worked as general manager of Ritz-Carlton in Dubai, Philadelphia and Atlanta.
