Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is unveiling a brand-new spa concept, Thai Zen Space, at eight of its 37 Spanish resorts this year.

Offering traditional Asian therapies at affordable prices, Thai Zen Space aims to make the luxury Eastern spa experience more accessible to Iberostar´s key markets in Europe.

The first Thai Zen Space opened earlier this year at Iberostar´s flagship property in Spain, the Grand Hotel Anthelia in Tenerife, which was joined at the beginning of June by the Albufera Playa, Suites Jardin del Sol and Royal Cristina, all in Majorca.

Over the next month, Thai Zen Space centers will open their doors at the Islantilla, Isla Canela and Andalusia Playa resorts on Spain´s Costa de la Luz. In the Canary Islands, the Fuerteventura Park will offer Thai Zen Space from July 15.

There are treatments to suit all budgets, which can be booked by guests in person upon arrival. Signature therapies include “Thai Herbal Sweet & Heat”, a powerful treatment using a pouch containing over 100 different herbs, which is then heated.

The authenticity of Thai Zen Space is guaranteed by the fact that all therapists hail from Thailand and hold qualifications from the Temple of Po in Bangkok.

There has been a dedicated training center in Bangkok where therapists learnt Thai Zen Space´s signature menu, and there will be a center in Spain where staff can update their skills.
