Iberia, Mexicana de Aviacion Fly on Codeshare

Iberia and Mexicana de Aviacion airlines have just put into effect new agreements on codeshare flights and frequent travelers that were signed last January and that are intended to allow aircraft from both companies to carry passengers indistinctively.

The Spanish air carrier informed the codeshare agreement will permit Iberia’s passengers to carry on flying aboard Mexicana’s jetliners from the Aztec capital all the way to Monterrey, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Veracruz and Acapulco.

For their part, Mexicana’s passengers, after traveling from Mexico City to Madrid, could continue aboard Iberia from the Spanish capital to Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia, Seville, Oviedo and Vigo.

The frequent traveler program will entitle Iberia’s passengers to choose from over thirty Mexican destinations and have access to almost a dozen American and Canadian cities.

In the same breath, Mexicana’s trippers could pick one of 31 European destinations, plus half a dozen in Africa and the Middle East and as many as 34 locations inside Spain.

Passengers will also be entitled to preferential connections and just one booking arrangement from the place of origin to the end destination. Moreover, customers from both companies can keep tabs on points scored for every flight taken aboard either of the two airlines.
