Hyatt Launches Online Travel Specialist Training Program
To ensure that travel agents around the world are informed about the details of selling the Hyatt brands and travel experiences.
Hyatt has launched the online Hyatt Travel Specialist educational program at www.hyatttravelspecialist.com.
The four-chapter course brings Hyatt to life through flash, streaming video, photo slide shows and other interactive elements. As an online program, agents worldwide can take the course at their leisure.
Agents who pass the four chapter quizzes become Hyatt Travel Specialists and receive a host of benefits including a certificate of graduation from Hyatt Hotels & Resorts; three Continuing Education Credits from The Travel Institutes for Certified Travel Counselors (CTCs) and Certified Travel Associates (CTAs); and registration for the monthly Hyatt Travel Agent e-newsletter with special offers, incentives and news.
Each month for the first year of the program, the first three agents to complete the course and score perfect scores on the tests will receive a $100 Hyatt gift card. The course introduces agents to Hyatt, a company which began more than 50 years ago, and highlights its properties and defines each of its brands, including Park Hyatt, Andaz, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place and Hyatt Summerfield Suites.
Key selling features and typical guest profiles are offered for each brand with this new tool. A “what’s in it for you” component of the course shows the many programs established exclusively for travel agents, including commissions, travel agent room rates, rewards programs, welcome client gifts and special sales initiatives. Details on how to use the dedicated travel agent website as well as the Hyatt Gold Passport frequent guest program are also outlined.
