ATA recently announced the appointment of Carl Humprey Vrolijk as the Area Director for its European offices based in The Netherlands. Humphrey will replace Rafael Estrada, who is retiring after 10 years of dedicated service to ATA’s European office.

As Area Director, Mr. Vrolijk will oversee the continued development of Aruba as a top vacation destination in the European market.

“My main objectives are to continue growing European tourism numbers to Aruba, diversify our reach throughout the continent and grow the existing seat capacity in order to better serve travelers from this market,” said Vrolijk.

After graduating from NHTV, a renowned tourism school in 1995, Humprey returned to his native Aruba. His first position within ATA was as Director of Strategic Marketing Information for Europe.

With the establishment of the Dutch Caribbean Tourism Corporation (DCTC) in Germany, Humprey was named Project Director Counterpart.

In 2000, he was named Director of Marketing and Public Relations at ATA’s European office, where he was responsible for all marketing and promotional activities as well as the strategic plan for the European market.
