Hotwire Names Clem Bason President of Hotwire Group

Hotwire has announced that Clem Bason has been promoted to president of the Hotwire Group, which includes Hotwire.com, Travel-Ticker.com, and CarRentals.com. Bason, who will oversee all aspects of the three business units, takes over for Eric Grosse, who has been promoted to president of Expedia Worldwide.

Mr. Bason takes over Hotwire.com, a leading discount travel site with low rates on airline tickets, hotel rooms and rental cars. He will also oversee Travel-Ticker.com, home to some of the best insider deals at many of the world’s favorite destinations, as well as CarRentals.com, which offers a diverse selection of car rentals.

Mr. Bason joined Hotwire as vice president of hotel supplier relations in February 2006, and became vice president of merchandising.
