Hoteliers Present First Edition of “Welcome to Punta Cana” Guidebook
The National Hotels and Restaurants Association (ASONAHORES), with the support of the Hotels and Tourism Projects Association of the East and under the auspices of the Tourism Ministry, presented the first edition of the complementary guidebook for tourists in the zone Punta Cana-Bavaro: Welcome to Punta Cana.
ASONAHORES Executive vice president Arturo Villanueva, who presented the magazine, said the guide arose from the tourism industry’s evolution increasing and the needs of the visitors with it.
Welcome Punta Cana is a practical, promotional and information program which summarizes what the tourists can find, do, buy and enjoy during their stay in Punta Cana-Bavaro, including bars, theme restaurants, discos, stores, casinos, parks, excursions, places of interest, cigar factories and stores, rent-a-cars and other services provided in the zone, allowing visitors to plan their activities outside the hotels.
The magazine, said Villanueva, is the ideal promotional vehicle for the businesses which form part of the tourist offer in the zone and who want the tourists to know about them and to visit them.
Initially 50,000 will be published in each edition every six months, in Spanish and English, and will be distributed free of charge in hotels, rent-a-cars, shopping centers, among others, in Bavaro-Punta Cana.
