Hookers Plague Discos in Playa Dorada, Dominican Newspaper Says

Despite concerns in the Dominican Republic about low occupancy rates in some Playa Dorada hotels and the likelihood they will be closed, it would appear that certain forms of commerce are rising.

According to local newspaper El Faro, prostitutes are invading disco clubs in Playa Dorada. The article says many are seen hanging around outside the Puerto Plata Village Hotel at 3 and 4 in the morning and wearing “inadequate outfits”.

Whilst hoteliers are openly against this practice, they are seemingly unable to control security guards who are often offered “favors” to let prostitutes in Playa Dorada.
