Historic Meeting Set between Caribbean and Vanilla Islands Ministers

The first meeting of the Caribbean & Indian Ocean Vanilla islands will take place in one week when island ministers gather at World Routes 2013 to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, in one week.

Some 40 Tourism Ministers and CEOs of island tourism destinations from the Caribbean and from the Indian Ocean Vanilla islands have been invited for a historic meeting of these two groups known as the Small Island States who are dependent on tourism for their economy.

The meeting is being spearheaded by Professor Geoffrey Lipman, the President of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) and Director of GreenEarth.travel, and supported by Gerard Brown, the Director of Tourism at World Routes.

Chairing this first historic meeting will be Minister Alain St. Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, and the sitting President of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands. The meeting will be part of the World Routes 2013 program and is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, October 8, at 1535 hours in the Routes Talks Theatre No. 1.
