Haydee Kuret de Rainieri to Lead the Dominican Republic’s National Hotel & Restaurant Association

The Board of Directors of the Dominican Republic’s National Hotel & Restaurant Association (ASONAHORES is the Spanish acronym) has just tapped celebrated local businesswoman Haydee Kuret de Rainieri as the first woman ever to head the most important institution dealing with the Dominican travel industry’s private sector.

Mrs. Kuret de Rainieri will officially take over as ASONAHORES president on Sept. 1 following the closing of the 22nd ASONAHORES Tradeshow by the association’s outgoing chairman, Mr. Luis Lopez.

Mrs. Kuret de Rainieri has long been around in the local tourism industry and has spearheaded major development projects, like the Puntacana Group. In the same breath, Mrs. Kuret de Rainieri will take over as vice president of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA).
