Havana Club International’s New Director

French agriculture engineer Philippe Coutin, 39, took over this week as new director of Havana Club International S.A., a joint venture forged between CubaRon and France’s Pernod Ricard.

The partnership saw the light of day in 1993 with a mission to spread Cuban rum all around the world as much as possible.

Mr. Coutin’s takeover at the helm of Havana Club International S.A. happens together with the world debut of Cuban Barrel Proof, a brand-new Cuban rum that went off to a great start last spring after grabbing a gold medal and a Certificate of Exceptionality at the Chicago Beverage & Liquor Fair.
