Havana´s Meliá Cohiba Hotel Celebrates Tenth Birthday

Following a decade of hardworking efforts and successes, the Meliá Cohiba Hotel, one of the most outstanding lodgings of the Cuban capital, is prepping up to celebrate its tenth anniversary on February 24.

The celebratory program includes numerous activities to highlight VIP guests, honor founding employees, stage special concerts at the in-house Havana Café, mount exhibits of works of art and launch a big bash full of surprises on February 24.

Officially opened in 1995, this 462-room five-star hotel offers a spectacular view of the sea, the city and Havana´s seawall. It provides royal service on four floors and features great restaurants, a cigar store, a swimming pool, a gym and the finest conveniences for staging business meetings and conventions.

In a press release sent by the hotel´s front office to Caribbean News Digital, General Manager Rodrigo Silveyra stresses the need to make the lodging a far better establishment in order to put up with an increasingly competitive world travel market.
