Haiti, Montserrat Appoints New Tourism Ministers

As a result of recent elections in Haiti and Montserrat, two new tourism ministers have been named.

In Haiti, President Rene Preval named Patrick Delatour as minister of tourism. Mr. Delatour is an architect who contributed to Haiti´s Master Plan for Tourism several years ago under then-minister of tourism Maryse Penette.

In Montserrat, Lowell Lewis, chief minister, also will oversee the Montserrat Tourist Board´s marketing and product development initiatives in his role as tourism minister.

Mr. Lewis, a surgeon specialized in kidney transplants and dialysis, has held numerous posts in the Montserrat government, including deputy chief minister.
