Gutsy Women Travel is offering a 10-day trip to Argentina and Chile in February 2008 that will allow ladies to experience the fiery seduction of the tango, and sample the fine wines and cuisine of two of South America’s top destinations.

The “Wine and Wonders of Argentina & Chile” itinerary incorporates history and culture, gourmet dining, shopping, and classes. In Argentina, ladies will explore the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, visiting its financial center, historic government buildings, art district, and grand beaux arts palaces and have a chance to learn the tango, the seductive dance that is an intrinsic part of Argentinean culture.

The trip then heads west to Mendoza, where clients will experience winery tours, a cooking class, and a three-course lunch paired with wines. The tour travels to Chile along the scenic Pan-American Highway through the heart of the Andes Range, with opportunities to view Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America.

In Chile clients will tour the capital city of Santiago with its colonial architecture, visit the Presidential Palace and the city’s many museums, including an excursion to nearby La Chascona, the former residence of Spanish poet Pablo Neruda.

On a day trip to the Maipo Valley, one of the Chile’s most prosperous wine regions, ladies will enjoy an in-depth look at the entire wine making process at Concha y Toro, Chile’s largest wine exporter and visit Maipo Canyon with its magnificent views of the Andes Mountains.
