Bored at the beach? Forgot to bring a book? That´s no problem for guests at the eight Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean & Mexico Resorts this summer, where teams of Beach Book Butlers offer beach-themed books, delivered right to the sand.

Guests in Aruba, Curacao, St. Kitts or St. Thomas in the Caribbean or Cancun and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico choose from five current book titles each for adults and kids; books can be returned at the beach or the front desk at checkout.

Adult books include “The Beach House” by James Patterson, “Amber Beach” by Elizabeth Lowell, “Beach Girls” by Luanne Rice, “Gift from the Sea” by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, and “McNally´s Puzzle” by Lawrence Sanders.

Children´s books include “Curious George Goes to the Beach” by H. A. Rey, “Beach Day” by Karen Roosa, “How Will We Get to the Beach?” by Brigitte Luciani and Eve Tharlet, “Lottie´s New Beach Towel” by Petra Mathers, and “Pigs on a Blanket” by Amy Axelrod.

The resorts also offer discounted rates on the Escape! family package, which covers accommodations, daily breakfast, an in-room family pizza party with a movie and pizza delivery, and nightly turndown service with milk and cookies.
