Group of Journalists from Andean Countries Foster Tourism

A bunch of journalists from the five Andean nations visited Ecuador this week as part of an unconventional tour to advertise tourism in the region.

Members of the Bolivian, Colombian, Ecuadorian, Peruvian and Venezuelan press are making the tour under a project designed by the Andean Committee of Tourism Authorities.

In Ecuador, the entourage visited Quito’s historic center –Heritage of Mankind- the Cajas National Park and the Ingapirca Archeological Compound, among other sightseeing places.

The program’s main goal –fully backed up by the five Andean nations- is to put the region’s tourist allures on the map and to increase the inflow of visitors to the region.
