Grenada Resort to Go Smoke-Free
Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada will become a smoke-free resort, effective Dec. 15. Currently, the 64 guest rooms are non-smoking, so the move in December will encompass all patios, balconies, the pool areas the restaurant, the bar and all indoor/outdoor facilities.
The all-inclusive resort achieved Green Globe Benchmark Certification in 2007 in recognition of its environmental practices, according to Royston Hopkin, owner and chairman.
“The majority of our clients applaud our environmental efforts, so we expect these guests, and new ones, to recognize the need for us to go smoke-free,” Mr. Hopkin went on to say.
