Gogobot Launches Private Beta

Gogobot, founded by Travis Katz and Ori Zaltzman in Menlo Park, California, has launched in private beta. Gogobot’s mission is to make trip planning more fun by making it easy to connect and share travel advice with friends. Gogobot connects users with friends and people like them for travel advice and links the advice they give in real-time with maps, pictures, pricing and descriptions.

Gogobot is funded by angel investors Chris DeWolfe, Keith Rabois and Oren Ze’ev, Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors, and Battery Ventures, which led the company’s $4 million round in June.

According to allthingsd.com, currently, Gogobot links users to hotels and other information, but eventually its business plan is to complete reservations and garner lead generation revenues.
