Galapagos Ranks among the World’s Top Ten Islands Described as Tourist Destination
The Galapagos were elected this month as one of the 10 best tourist destinations in the World in the category of Islands, according to the ranking of the magazine Travel + Leisure based on the votes of its subscribers.
The archipelago, off the Ecuadorian coast, came out in the 8th place, with 84.69 points, being the only Latin American islands included in the ranking.
Ahead of Galapagos are Bali (88.48), Kauai (86.47), Maui (86.21), Cape Breton in New Scotland (85.97), Mount Desert in Maine (84.90), Tasmania (84.88) and Hawaii (84.72).
