Gabriel Barceló walks in British Travel Hall of Fame

Gabriel Barceló Oliver, president and CEO of the Barceló Foundation, was anointed on Oct. 31 to the prestigious Hall of Fame, an honorific distinction created by the British Travel Industry back in 1995 to praise those who have played a noteworthy role in the development of the travel, hotel and tourism industries.

The British Travel Industry, whose annual convention is currently underway in Palma de Mallorca, has decided to reward the Spanish leisure industry for its contribution to the British travel business by handing in the celebrated award to four outstanding personalities of the Spanish tourist sector, including Mr. Barceló.

The award presentation ceremony took place last Oct. 31 at the Sa Nostra Cultural Center on the Balearic Islands.
