Frontier Extends Kansas City-Cancun Seasonal Service

Frontier Airlines said it will extend its seasonal nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and Cancun International Airport (CUN) through Aug. 28, 2010, the first time the airline has offered summer nonstop service on the route.

Frontier will operate two weekly flights on Saturday and Sunday, April 19 to May 2, 2010. Beginning May 3, the carrier will operate one Saturday flight through Aug. 28, 2010.

“The response to our nonstop service to Cancun has been tremendous,” said Daniel Shurz, vice president of planning and strategy. “Extending our service over the summer now provides the Kansas City community with greater access to their favorite Mexican vacation destination.” Frontier will resume nonstop service on the route on Oct. 16, 2010.
