French Governmental, Travel Authorities Join Hands to Stave Off Sex Tourism

Professionals from France´s travel industry and government agreed recently in Paris to come together in the war against sexual exploitation of minors, an ever-increasing problem that´s sweeping the world today.

French Tourism Minister Leon Bertrand and a group of seventeen travel professionals are now determined to force tourists to respect the rights of children.

Somewhere around two to three million kids are sexually abused around the globe every year, according to international human rights watchdogs.

In Europe, especially in Eastern European nations, the situation is reaching alarming levels while preventing actions are not yielding the expected outcomes.

The French initiative also envisions a number of actions to guarantee the social and economic insertion of victimized children into society as a fundamental way to get those minors out of the streets.
