Fred Olsen Unveils Luring Cruise Offer

Fred Olsen Maritime Lines came to the recently concluded International Tourism Fair in Madrid with the world’s largest fast ferry, a ship that can carry up to 1,350 passengers and 341 cars. The ferry was built at a cost of 50 million euros.

According to the company, the new vessel –dubbed Trimaran Express- is outfitted with cutting-edge technology and is capable of transporting 30 percent more passengers and 20 percent more cars than other similar ships owned by Fred Olsen can.

The new fast ferry is 126.65 meters long and 30.40 meters wide, and can reach a speed of up to 42 knots. Later this year and as soon as it leaves the Austral Ships shipyards, the huge newcomer will join a fleet of liners currently operating in the waters off the Canary Islands.

Fred Olsen Maritime Lines has been sailing around the Canary archipelago for the last 30 years and it now runs five passenger and cargo lines.
