Air traffic between the Dominican Republic and New York City is now back to normal after severe disruptions due to a snowstorm that led to all flights being cancelled last week. Hundreds of passengers were stranded at Santo Domingo’s airport as well as in New York City airports.

Flights to and from Las Américas airport resumed to JFK and Newark airports last week. However, the airlines serving this route were still experiencing one and two-hour delays due to the lingering effects of the bad weather.

All services were cancelled as a result of the snowstorm and strong winds and rain in the New York area, which also affected ground transport and public services.
