Festival Cruises opens first Sailing Museum

Festival Cruises Co. is paying tribute to the artistic and creative richness of the Centennial European Civilization with the grand opening of the first Sailing Museum. A total of eleven exhibitions from as many renowned fine artists from Italy and the rest of the world will be set up aboard the company’s finest liners –European Vision and European Stars- in a fascinating initiative conducted through the Festival Foundation.

The intention behind this effort is to thoroughly portray the very best of Europe’s artistic traditions by providing a more globalized and updated vision of the Old World’s arts. Thus, Festival Cruises puts together a thematic journey through one of the most significant postwar trends: Pop-Art.

The interior designs of the European Stars and the European Vision can’t be any better for the exhibition of the works. Festival manages to create some unique perspectives driven by a mighty and emotional esthetic impact. The decorated ships now become exclusive high-seas platforms for meditation and fascination.

Some of the artists that Festival Co. has invited to show their works are Lodola, Arman, Gianni Boncompagni, Giorgio de Chirico, Salvatore Emblema, Marc Kostabi, Claudio Martinengo, Ugo Nespolo, Nakis Panayotidis and Antonio Pedretti. The end of the exhibition will happen together with the scheduled tribute to Mario Schifano.
