Fake Police Officers Scamming Tourists in Helsinki
Con artists dressed as police officers have apparently tried to scam credit card numbers off tourists in Helsinki, the capital of Finland.
In the past two weeks, the real law enforcement officers have been notified of three instances, where tourists have been stopped by the con men and asked to present their passports and credit cards.
Spokespersons from the Helsinki Police Department say there are at least two male suspects, probably foreigners. As of yet there has been no information on whether the credit card numbers were used illegally.
