Construction is expected to begin on the redevelopment and expansion of Lynden Pindling Airport in Nassau, Bahamas, by late June, according to the Guardian Business newspaper.

The first phase of the project includes a new, 247,000-square-foot departure terminal for U.S. passengers, a new aircraft parking apron and an access roadway for the terminal. Completion is slated for March 2011.

The next two phases include a terminal for international arrivals and terminals for international/domestic departures and domestic arrivals. Completion is scheduled for November 2013.
