Executives, Businesspeople Pick Chile´s LAN as Latin America´s Best Airline

For a third year in a row, LAN has won top honors as the best air carrier in Latin America, an election that´s mostly based on the company´s superb cuisine and other onboard services as compiled by a recent poll conducted by Latin Trade magazine among 110,000 execs that travel frequently to the region.

And for a second time running, LAM´s Neruda VIP Hall at the Santiago de Chile International Airport was chosen the best of its kind, the poll concluded. The survey, carried out in Spanish, English and Portuguese languages, also combed passenger programs, airports, hotels, restaurants, cities, cruises, beaches and tourist resorts.

As to the Neruda VIP Hall, Latin Trade labels it a full-fledged business center that offers an assortment of top-quality services.

For the first time ever, Latin Trade reported this year about the region´s top entrepreneurial leaders and how they made their companies flourish, including LAN´s Executive Vice President Enrique Cueto.

In the same breath, the prestigious publication underscores the airline´s cargo and passenger operations in the third quarter of 2004 when it garnered $36.4 million in gains, thanks in part to a high level of efficiency.

Latin Trade magazine has over 350,000 readers worldwide and it´s put out monthly in Spanish, English and Portuguese languages.
