Estonian Air Carried 168,116 Passengers in the First Four Months of 2009

In the first four months Estonian Air carried altogether 168 116 passengers, 148 606 of these on regular flights. The total number of passengers decreased 26.4 percent y-o-y, on regular flights 27 percent.

In April Estonian Air carried 45 972 passengers, 42 965 of these on regular flights. The total number of passengers decreased 31.7 percent, on regular flights 31.7 percent.

In the first four months the market share of Estonian Air in the regular flights segment at Tallinn Airport was 43.2 percent which is 1.3 percentage points lower y-o-y. The total market share (regular and charter flights) was 40.4 percent, which is 1.1 percentage points lower y-o-y.

In April the market share of Estonian Air in the regular flights segment at Tallinn Airport was 45.3 percent, which is 1.7 percentage points lower y-o-y. The total market share (regular and charter flights) was 41.1 percent, which is 2.1 percentage points lower y-o-y.

In the first four months Estonian Air operated 3,194 flights, which is 21.8 percent less flights y-o-y. In March Estonian Air operated 846 flights, which is 25.1 percent less flights y-o-y.

Estonian Air belongs to the most punctual air carriers in Europe. In the first four months the regularity of Estonian Air was 98.4 percent and the 15-minute punctuality was 91.2 percent. In April the regularity and punctuality were 98.7 percent and 93.6 percent respectively.
