Embratur's New Site Section Showcases Brazil Home
The Brazil Tourism Board (Embratur) launched “Brazil Home,” a new section on its website designed to showcase the country’s art, history and culture in advance of the expected visitor surge for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which will feature matches in 12 Brazilian cities, and the 2016 Olympics, scheduled to take place in Rio de Janiero.
The new platform is designed to introduce potential travelers to Brazil to the country and features a “Panorama” room, where users can view and learn about destinations including Fernando de Noronha and the Iguazu Falls.
The “Music” room features the repertoire of popular Brazilian musicians including Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque and Ivete Sangalo, and also allows users to examine typical Brazilian instruments.
The “Kitchen” features traditional Brazilian cuisine with information on the regions that produced each dish. A “Reception Room” highlights traditional Brazilian including Carnival and a “Movie Theater” there features previews of popular Brazilian films (with subtitles).
