EasyCruise Appoints Gwyn Hughes as New CEO

Gwyn Hughes was appointed CEO of EasyCruise, the no-frills cruise line, effective immediately.

Hughes was executive director of P&O Cruises from 2000-2003. Prior to that, he served as managing director of P&O until 2000. Most recently, he ran his own strategy and communications consultancy firm.

According to EasyCruise, Hughes and his management team will manage the day-to-day aspects of the business, which include refurbishing the fleet with the new EasyCruise design; installing the new, more upscale food and beverage outlets in the fleet; and preparing for a possible initial public offering, or alternatively, a partial sale, in the years to come.
