Dominican hotel grabs the Green Globe award

The 532-room Coral Canoe Beach & Spa Hotel in La Romana, the Dominican Republic, was bestowed with the Green Globe award for its balanced environmental protection, according to the Coral Hotels & Resorts owning enterprise, a company that runs two couples of four-star all-inclusive establishments in Dominican soil.
The lodging facility won the recognition of the environmentalist organization as it scored high marks after a tough assessment of its cesspool waters and solid wastes, power consumption, fresh-water preservation and handling of chemicals used in the complex.
Founded in 1992, Green Globe is an organization specialized in the development of environmental management actions for the tourist and travel industry.
