Dominican Cardinal wants “brazen tourists” out of the country

Dominican cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez called on governmental authorities to kick unashamed visitors out of the country to prevent them from rotting the nation’s childhood, the local newspaper Listin Diario informed.

The chief of the Dominican Catholic Church stated the kind of tourism that surfaces in the realm of brazenness, no matter how wealthy it might be, does nothing but harm to any country or destination that harbors it because its moral standards are close to nothing.

His Eminence Lopez Rodriguez expressed that “these foreigners, fed up with so much local and cultural trash, go searching for easy victims like those only poverty can beget in order to quench their most perverted appetites.”

The cardinal warned non-selective tourism could turn out perilous. “That shameless tourism out there must be expelled as soon as possible before it corrupts our childhood.”

The metropolitan Archbishop of Santo Domingo grumbled receptive countries like the Dominican Republic do not always act in line with the laws being enforced in developed nations to drive children’s abuse and traffic to a halt.

Lopez Rodriguez explained he was referring to pieces of legislation that throw down the book on local lawbreakers wherever they might be. Such laws are designed to help receptive countries to tackle the traffic of minors.
