Dominica Offers Specials for Annual Dive Fest in July

Dominica and the Dominica Watersports Association promise to deliver an action-packed program over 10 days focused on scuba diving during its 17th annual Dive Fest, July 9 to 18. As Dive Fest was established to showcase the marine environment of Dominica to visitors and residents, this year’s event will provide an amazing dive experience and more for all those who participate. Dominica hotels and tour operators are offering a variety of dive packages for Dive Fest.

Al Dive & W.A.T.E.R.S.P.O.R.T.S. “Summer and Dive Fest Package” allows six divers to dive for the price of five. The package includes six dives per person and all marine fees and taxes. Rates begin at $225 per person and are valid June 1 to Oct. 31.

Anchorage Hotel & Dive Center is offering their “6 Dive Pay for 5,” Dive Fest promotion to all of their guests. The package includes seven nights’ accommodations, seven full breakfasts, five 2-tank boat dives and unlimited shore dives. Weekly rates begin at $939 per person based on double occupancy. The sixth person pays $599 and receives their diving for free. Reservations must be made before July 31. There’s a travel window of May 1 to Aug. 31. Anchorage Hotel’s “9 Pay & 10 Play,” package for guests who book their reservations before June 30 for travel until April 11, 2011 includes seven nights’ accommodation, seven full breakfasts, five 2-tank boat dives, roundtrip airport transfers, one whale watch excursion, and a “Screws” mineral bath trip. Weekly rates start at $939 per person, based on double occupancy.

Cabrits Dive Center, a PADI-certified five-star training facility, is offering a “Book a 10-Dive Package and One Diver Dives for Free” promotion. Rates begin at $340 per person and the offer is valid July 1 through Oct. 31.

Dive Dominica/Castle Comfort Lodge’s “6 Play, 5 Pay Package” allows the sixth person to dive for free. The promotion includes seven nights’ standard accommodations, seven breakfasts, five two-tank boat dives, unlimited shore diving, tank weights and weight belts, complimentary use of sea kayaks, roundtrip airport transfer and welcome rum punch upon arrival. Weekly rates begin at $999 per person, based on double occupancy. This summer special is valid for the months of May, June, July, August and October.

Located on the west coast of Dominica, JC Ocean Adventures is offering any six divers signing up for a two-tank dive their “Play for 6, Play for 5” promotion that is valid during Dive Fest. Rates for a two-tank boat dive begin at $85 per person.

Located in Dominica’s fishing village of Soufriere, Nature Island Dive is offering their “6 Dive, 5 Pay” package to celebrate Dive Fest. The package allows six divers to book a 10-dive package and one diver dives for free, plus a half-day of free kayaking. This promotion is valid July 1 through Oct. 31.

Sunset Bay Club is offering their “Summer & Dive Fest Package,” July 1 through Oct. 31. This all-inclusive package includes seven nights’ accommodations, six divers pay for five; five double-tank dives, welcome cocktail, all meals and beverages, four tour days, three sauna sessions, unlimited snorkeling and equipment, taxes and service charges. Rates begin at $1,091 per person, based on double occupancy.
