Disney's Tour Business Adds New Destinations

Adventures by Disney, the Walt Disney Co.'s 6-year-old guided-tour business, has added Greece and northern France to its list of destinations for 2012.
Highlights of the 10-day "Greek Odyssey" itinerary include moonlight storytelling at the Parthenon in Athens, Greek-grape stomping at a winery on the volcanic island of Santorini, and lessons in Tsatziki cheese making and Greek dancing on the island of Crete. Travelers on the eight-day "Espirit de France" will draw in Monet's gardens, eat a private dinner in the Louvre and learn the art of brandy-making in Normandy.
Disney also said it will continue a 10-day Egyptian tour that launched last year and tweak itineraries for established tours to Australia, London and Paris, and the Galapagos Islands.
Disney launched Adventures in hopes of finding another avenue to capture spending by travelers on non-theme-park vacations. It remains a tiny niche within the company's broader parks-and-resorts division.
