Discovery Cruise Line Wins Award

For the fourth consecutive year, Discovery Cruise Line, the largest tour operator to Grand Bahama Island from Fort Lauderdale, has received Porthole Cruise Magazine´s 2005 Readers´ Choice Award as the "Best One-Day Cruise."

According to the company´s front office, Discovery recently launched its Bahamas Party Cruises in which all passengers received party beads and blowers, match play at Isle of Capri Casino, a Bahama Mama cocktail on island, and an opportunity to win prizes on board, all of which were free.

Discovery sails daily from Fort Lauderdale to Grand Bahama Island, departing at 7:45 am and arriving back at the pier at 10 pm. Each year, Discovery carries over 200,000 passengers between the two destinations.

The cruise features all the amenities of a longer cruise in one fun-filled day, including three lavish buffet meals on board, a kid´s club, exciting casino action, live entertainment, outdoor games and activities, contests, spacious sun decks, a swimming pool, duty-free shopping, and more.
