Set to debut in March 2007 in St. Thomas is the $150 million Yacht Haven Grande complex near the cruise ship terminal at Havensight in Charlotte Amalie.

The new development is on the site of the former Yacht Haven Hotel which, although destroyed by hurricanes in 1995, remained standing for years while legal battles raged and visitors gaped at the eyesore.

The new Yacht Haven Grande is designed for the mega-yacht market and will cater to those who own and/or operate them.

The complex will include a yacht club, retail space, four restaurants and 12 three-bedroom condominium units.

Boats up to 450 feet in length will be able to dock at Yacht Haven’s harbor and marina. Services available will include catering, laundry, and gourmet provisioning.

The $28 million Crown Bay Center set to open in December in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, as the waterfront retail shopping and commercial center at the Crown Bay Cruise Terminal.

The terminal, which complements St. Thomas’s Havensight terminal complex, is able to handle the largest passenger ships in the world with docking facilities able to handle two megaships at the same time.
