Delta Reactivates Codeshare Agreement with Avianca

Delta Air Lines said that it will resume its codeshare agreement with Colombian carrier Avianca effective Sept. 7. The Delta-Avianca codeshare agreement will offer customers increased connectivity and coverage options, shorter connection times between destinations within each country, and coverage of multiple legs with one ticket.

This partnership will allow Delta and Avianca to provide increased coverage from 12 U.S. cities to Bogota, Cali, Barranquilla, Medellin and Cartagena, Colombia. The 12 U.S. cities included in the codeshare agreement are Atlanta, New York-JFK, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Chicago, Newark, Orlando, Washington, D.C. (Dulles and Reagan), Boston, Houston and Philadelphia.
