Delta Airlines to limit baggage cargo in flights heading to Latin America

For a couple of months beginning Nov. 15 through Jan. 15, Delta Airlines will enforce baggage limits on passengers flying from the U.S. to certain Latin America cities like Guadalajara, Guatemala City, Mexico City, Panama City, San Jose and San Salvador.

Sources from the air carrier said passengers flying those routes will have limitations on how much weight and baggage they could carry with them.

Each air travelers could take two suitcases and a carryon not exceeding 40 lbs. Each suitcase could not tip the scale over 70 lbs. All craters should be wrapped up in boxes provided by Delta in its checkpoints. Delta’s boxes are charged at 10$ apiece.

In an effort to avoid nagging inconveniences, the U.S. company recommends those passengers who want to carry heavier luggage to contact Sport Express –a Delta Airlines’ affiliate- and use the airline’s pre-checking system.
