Delta Airlines Lands in Buenos Aires

Delta Airlines, America’s third-biggest air carrier, has just commenced operations in Argentina and is planning to pour some $80 million worth of investment into the South American nation.

The U.S. company is now making a daily flight between the Argentine capital and the city of Atlanta.

“Delta has always seen itself as a local partner of each and every destination and country it flies to,” said James Sarvis, chief of Delta’s operations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In addition to the jetliners that will cover the Buenos Aires-Atlanta route, Delta Airlines will hire new sale, accounting and airport personnel in the country, let alone the opening of new offices and ticket sale outlets there.

Delta is currently flying to 493 destinations in 87 countries using its own Delta, Song and Delta Shuttle carriers, as well as with partnerships around the world.
