FORMATUR’s GM Miriam Rendon Fernandez and other executives from the Cuban tourism professional training system welcomed Mrs. Stella Baltova, Bulgaria’s Tourism Minister, and Mrs. Galina Kostadinova, Commercial & Economic Attaché of the Bulgarian embassy in Cuba.

During a friendly chat with students and professors of FORMATUR, Mrs. Baltova informed about a memorandum of collaboration between the two nations that she signed with her Cuban counterpart Manuel Marrero Cruz that embraces, among other issues, cooperation in tourism education between Cuba and Bulgaria.

During her visit, within the framework of Cuba’s International Tourism Fair FITCuba 2009, a number of students from the “Sergio Perez” School of Tourism Training dished out a vast cuisine offer and shared ideas between the two cultures.

The Bulgarian minister recognized that “Cuba’s tourist product is completely formed and prepared, and it hinges on vast culture, a rich history and top-quality service.”
