CTO Appoints Development Consultant

The Caribbean Tourism Organization has named Ian Salter as its new sustainable tourism policy development consultant.

Mr. Salter, who holds a degree in environmental management and policy from Sweden’s Lund University, will further guide the Caribbean states on how to best develop a sustainable tourism product.

“It is realizing the potential of the Caribbean to have a very strong tourism economy in the long terms, to keep tourism on the right track and to ensure tourism does not have a negative impact on the environment,” Mr. Salter said.
