Crystal Names MacGarva, Stoll Vice Presidents of Operations

Following a restructuring uniting Crystal Cruises’ Hotel and Marine Operations departments, Crystal’s senior vice president-operations, Thomas Mazloum, announced promotions to the luxury line’s operations management team.

Cruise and Coast Guard veteran Greg MacGarva joins Crystal as vice president-marine operations, while Crystal’s long-time director of land programs, John Stoll, was promoted to vice president-land and port operations.

MacGarva comes to Crystal with 12 years in the cruise industry, including marine operations, procurement and logistic tenures at Holland America Line and engineering and purchasing positions at Cruise West.

Prior to the cruise industry, MacGarva served 22 years with the U.S. Coast Guard, including multiple deployments to Europe, the Caribbean, Arctic and Antarctica as chief engineer and director of engineering. In his new role with Crystal, he oversees the newly merged marine and land departments.

Stoll joined Crystal in 2003 as director of land programs after more than two decades in the cruise industry (including stints at Silversea, Princess and Royal Caribbean) and 10 years with Delta Air Lines. In his expanded role, he adds port operations to his department responsibilities.
