Cruise Tourism Aruba welcomed a cruise visit by Julia Hollenbeck, president and CEO of Wheel Me On, a non-profit travel agent association for wheelchair accessibility based in Clarksville, Tenn.

In Aruba, Ernest Giel of Aruba Cruise Tourism worked with Geraldine Keyter-Bisslik of De Palm Tours on a unique program. Jonathan Boekhoudt of Aruba Cruise Tourism also welcomed Hollenbeck to Aruba.

Aruba Cruise Tourism says the island is accessible for cruise passengers traveling in wheelchairs, and shore excursion companies offer service, rendering the comfort and special attention.

The sidewalks of Aruba are also wheelchair-friendly, creating the opportunity to roam the capital, Oranjestad. Hollenbeck visited the island during a cruise on Princess Cruises’ Island Princess.
