Copa Airlines Celebrates a Decade of Operations in Cuba

This is going to be a special year for the Cuba Division of Copa Airlines because the Panamanian air carrier will be celebrating a decade of operations on the Caribbean island in 2005.

Copa, that holds a couple of daily flights departing from Havana that connects some 30 destinations in 20 countries, jacked up its frequencies to Argentina’s Buenos Aires and Brazil’s Sao Paolo in early January.

Now in 2005, Panama’s flagship airline is planning to beef up its grip of the North American, Caribbean and South American markets through the Hub Connection Center of the Americas that operates out of the Tocumen International Airport in Panama City.

Copa Airlines has been growing on a steady basis as a premier carrier of attendants to conventions, fairs and other events in Cuba, let alone troves of businesspeople, impresarios and boldface personalities from around the world that visit the island nation regularly.
