Continental Airlines Slates Newark-Curacao Nonstop Flights Beginning December 17.

Continental Airlines will launch weekly nonstop service between Newark and Curacao, beginning Dec. 17. The Saturday flight will depart Newark at 9 a.m. and arrive in Curacao at 2:40 p.m. The return flight from Curacao to Newark will depart at 3:30 p.m. and arrive in Newark at 7:30 p.m.

"New York is our number one U.S. market, and our travel partners and customers have been asking for nonstop service for some time," said Jim Hepple, Curacao´s executive director of tourism.

Mr. Hepple reported that current hotel projects in Curacao include the new 350-room Hyatt Regency Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino, slated to open in early 2008, and the 240-room Curacao Renaissance Hotel, opening in early 2007, "so we will easily be able to handle the increase in visitors.”
