Continental Airlines Launches Portuguese Functionality on continental.com

Continental Airlines has launched continental.com in Portuguese for Brazil and Portugal. Key Portuguese-language functions include shopping for flights, making and changing reservations, checking flight and gate information, and accessing several functions related to OnePass, Continental’s award-winning frequent-flyer program.
“Brazil’s economy is the most important economy in South America and it is expanding its presence in world markets. As the second-largest airline to Latin America in passengers and destinations served, Continental is pleased to offer increased Web site access to Portuguese-speaking customers,” said Kevin McKenna, Managing Director, Brand Marketing at Continental Airlines.
Continental’s specialized service for Portuguese-speaking passengers includes bilingual flight attendants and Portuguese-language entertainment on board flights to Brazil and Portugal.
The airline currently operates daily nonstop service between Continental’s New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport and between Houston and Sao Paulo, with continuing service to Rio de Janeiro. Starting August 1, 2009, Continental will launch daily nonstop flights between its Houston hub at Bush Intercontinental Airport and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and through flight service between New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro.
