Confusion Surrounds Cruise West’s Remaining Sailings
Cruise West is sending conflicting messages to travel agents and the public about its remaining sailings.
Jim Hurlburt of Tradewinds Travel Service in Winter Park, Fla., heard from Cruise West directly that the Sept. 18 cruise on the Spirit of ‘98 had been canceled. Another agent said she hadn’t heard that news.
A message on Cruise West’s information line said that the Spirit of ‘98 and the Spirit of Endeavor sailings this weekend would both “operate as planned.”
Another agency executive said that on Monday his agents heard from a Cruise West representative that the Sept. 22 Amadeus Diamond sailing on the Danube River would depart as planned.
