Complaining cab drivers stage protest in Cozumel

Cozumel._ Over 300 people, including wives, relatives and cab drivers, marched down the Rafael E. Melgar Avenue to show support for striking members of the “Adolfo Lopez Mateos” Taxi Drivers Trade Union who remain on the picket lines across from the Municipal Palace to protest the granting of 18 concessions to an enterprise.

Union leaders said they are no longer willing to bargain with the state’s lieutenant governor, Agapito Magaña Sanchez, nor with SEDUMA boss Jorge Morales Calzada, the man they point fingers at for stirring this situation. The only person they want to sit down with is governor Joaquin Hendricks Diaz.
