So far, the harvest of the Arabic coffee variety is being done at a good pace and, according to the latest report issued, over 170 mil cans of this type of bean have been stockpiled, a result that represents 11 per cent of the total harvest.
Undoubtedly, fulfilling the Arabic-coffee harvest plan will require great effort, since the province is to put together nearly 330 thousand cans within the last days of September and October.
If such a productive objective is achieved, Santiago de Cuba will be ready to meet the planned amount of Arabic coffee cans in a 35-day period. This variety of coffee features the highest quality among those harvested on the island.
